Welcome and great to see you beautiful people! Today in class we will finish Lincoln and then we will be starting a workshop on argumentative writing. The core here is to learn how to make a point and defend it in a concise paragraph. It is very important to me that you learn how to make and defend a point using historical evidence. This will also be a significant part of the Quest we will have next week. Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.
Objectives:
- Analyze the efforts of Abraham Lincoln to pass the 13th Amendment
- Practice writing an argumentative paragraph using historical evidence to support a claim
- Finish Lincoln
- Start Writing Workshop
- Civil War and Reconstruction Quest on Monday
Live long and prosper,
Mr. Marchetti
