September 24 - The Civil War

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see you all!  I hope that you had a great weekend!  Today in class we will be starting our discussion of the American Civil War, one of the THE most important events in U.S. History.  This is also my area of expertise in U.S. History so I am very excited to spend a couple of days talking with you all about this!  I hope that you enjoy and learn something!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Analyze the events that lead to the Civil War and track the changing perceptions of the North and South
2. Analyze the events of the Civil War and synthesize the impacts it had on American society
